ELECTRONIC pH METER, MILWAUKEE

The pH measuring device is powered by 3 1.5V batteries, providing about 150 hours of operation. It has a manual, one-point calibration. The measurement range is 0-14 pH with a tolerance of +/- 0.1 pH. IMPORTANT: More than half of the devices returned for complaint did not meet the conditions. We recommend placing the probe in cleaning liquid (HCL) for 30 minutes before making a claim. For proper use and calibration, the following fluids are needed: pH-4.01,...

-for proper use and calibration, the following fluids are required: pH-4.01, pH-7.01 and for CLEANING and STORING of electrodes

Measurement:
before taking a measurement, remove the protective cap, if crystals appear underneath, there is no cause for concern, this is a normal phenomenon. The problem will disappear after rinsing the electrode with cleaning fluid or water. Turn on the pH meter with the button on the top of the device and immerse the electrode to the maximum allowable level. Gently stir the meter in the solution and wait for the reading to stabilize.
After use, rinse the electrode with water to avoid contamination. Store the meter with a few drops of electrode storage fluid in the protective cap.
DO NOT USE WATER TO STORE THE ELECTRODE
Large differences in readings may be due to the need for calibration, a dry electrode, or weak batteries.

Calibration:
Immerse the electrode to the maximum allowable level in pH 7.0 calibration fluid. Leave the meter in the calibration buffer and prepare a small screwdriver (included in the set), use the screwdriver to set the value to 7.0 on the display.
Calibration is ready.
ALWAYS USE FRESH CALIBRATION FLUID

Battery replacement:
Replace the batteries when there is no reading or when the meter cannot be turned on. The battery cover is located on the top of the measuring device. Insert 3 new 1.5V batteries, paying attention to the correct polarization. Batteries should always be replaced in a safe place; use the batteries recommended in this manual.
