Lumatek Turrican - Shinobi parabolic reflector has a very uniform design which contributes to great light spread. Turrican uses the industry's most advanced "Miro" reflective aluminum with a reflectance of 95%. Thanks to its design, Turrican generates low heat directly under the lamp means you can get it close to the plants.

What differentiates Turrican from cheap alternatives on the market is the high quality of components - Turrican is constructed with materials that will not deteriorate quickly ( reducing performance ) like its competitors, providing excellent performance over a long period of use. Unlike most other reflectors, the lamp in this reflector is mounted vertically, with most of its power directed sideways toward curved surfaces and reflected toward the plants. This method provides a more even distribution of light than horizontally mounted lamps. Naturally, the even distribution of light leads to more even growth of our favorite plants in a given area. These effects are greatly enhanced by Turrican's "Miro" finish, which helps eliminate hot spots, a problem that occurs when light is too heavily concentrated in an area.

It also has vents around the lamp holder to allow heat to escape through the top of the reflector. This, combined with the open design of the reflector, means that temperatures directly under the lamp are much lower than in other reflectors.
The Turrican reflector can be positioned closer to the tops of plants without causing "burning".
