Air-Pots have unusual profiled walls, a kind of egg extrusion configuration , consists of cones closed inside and cones open outside . In traditional pots, the flat walls inside the container repel the roots and set off a spiraling process in which the roots elongate without increasing root mass.The inner cones direct the roots outward to the open cones, where, because the air density in the soil is too high, the roots dehydrate and stop elongating.In response, the plant sends a message causing the roots to expand laterally to compensate for the loss, leading to a thickening of the root system resulting in a potentiation of root mass. Air-Pot's porosity also creates better conditions for bacterial activity, thereby increasing plant nutrients. The root system is also very effective in taking up all available nutrients and water.
