Phosphorus (P) is an indispensable nutrient for every plant. It is the key to plant vitality, providing them with the energy needed for growth. During the flowering phase, plants need even more phosphorus, which aids in the formation of flower cells.

Potassium (K) is a constant component of a plant's diet, necessary for many processes, including the transport of water and nutrients. It also provides the quality and durability of the plant, regulating many other processes, such as sugar production. Thanks to potassium, the plant is able to produce enough sugars during the flowering period, necessary for flower development.

Since 2006, in accordance with new regulations and European directives, CANNA precisely defines NPK fertilizers, based on volume, not on the traditional percentage concentration. The standard dose of PK 13/14 is 13% P and 14% K, in line with the consistently high standards of CANNA PK 13/14.
